Webmaster: Your Website, Looked After and Improving

Your site stays secure and current, and nothing goes live unseen.

The Webmaster is an AI website maintenance agent in the Ai1 platform by MyZone AI: it watches your existing site for security issues, outdated components and broken links, brings in the right specialist for each job, and shows you a preview before any change goes live; every change is logged with a way to undo it.

We'll show you the Webmaster on your own website. Nothing reaches your live site without your approval.

What the Webmaster does for you

  • Keeps your site secure and current

Watches for security issues, out-of-date components and broken links, and arranges fixes before they become problems.

  • Brings in the right specialist

Sends each job to the specialist who does it best, whether that is design, copy, SEO, speed, testing or security.

  • Previews every change first

Builds and checks changes away from the live site. You see the preview and the checks, then give the go-ahead.

  • Follows your rules

At the start you set what it may do alone, what it must ask about, busy periods to avoid and pages never to touch.

  • Keeps improving the site

Looks for ways to make pages clearer, faster and better at bringing in enquiries, and proposes them for approval.

  • Keeps a clear change log

Records what changed, who did it, when and how to undo it, so there are no surprises.

How the Webmaster differs from a website maintenance retainer

A retainer usually means emailing someone, waiting and hoping nothing breaks. The Webmaster watches your site continuously, brings in the right specialist for each job, builds every change away from the live site and shows you the preview and checks first. Your rules on approvals, quiet periods and off-limits pages are saved and honoured, and every change is logged with a tested way to undo it.

From your request to a finished result

It runs inside your Ai1 system and works in the tools you already use. You ask, it works, it reports, and it stops for your OK where it matters.

How the Webmaster works: you ask through the Comms Hub and Ai1 runs the steps: learn your goals, confirm your settings, day-to-day care, preview and sign-off and go live and verify. You approve at: confirm your settings, preview and sign-off. It returns a change log.

Step 1: Learn how you want it run

It asks a few simple questions: your goals, brand do's and don'ts, who approves changes and what to never touch.

You approve

Step 2: Confirm your settings

It reads your settings back and starts only once an approver confirms them.

Step 3: Day-to-day care

It monitors the site, brings in the right specialist for each job and prepares changes away from the live site.

You approve

Step 4: You approve

You see a preview and the checks that were run. Nothing goes live without your sign-off.

Step 5: Go live and verify

The change goes live with a tested way to undo it, is checked to be working and is added to your change log.

Hand these situations to the Webmaster

  • You want a new page, like a careers page
It brings in the right people to build it, shows you a preview and publishes only once you approve.
  • A security issue turns up on your site
It is triaged and fixed, checked, published with your go-ahead and logged with a rollback ready.
  • Some pages must never be touched
It saves your do-not-touch rules and quiet periods, and sticks to them.
  • You want your site kept healthy without chasing anyone
It runs regular check-ups for security, freshness, search and speed, and arranges the fixes.

What you get

  • Previews of every proposed change, with checks attached
  • Security, freshness, broken-link and speed check-ups
  • Proposed improvements to clarity, speed and enquiries
  • A change log with who, what, when and how to undo
  • Your saved rules for approvals, quiet periods and off-limits pages

What it won't do

Example: website health check

Our own site, myzone.ai · real audit · run 29 Sep 2026

What it was asked: Give our website a health check covering speed, broken links, mobile, forms and security, and tell us plainly what to fix first.

Example report
Website health summary with five status tiles for speed, broken links, mobile, forms and security, plus the three main findings
Summary: how healthy is the site?
Table of phone and desktop speed test results for six pages, with a bar chart of which scripts keep the home page busy and a list of fixes
Speed: fast on desktop, slow on phones
Table of broken links and form issues with page counts, next to a twelve-point security checklist showing passes and gaps
Broken links, forms, mobile and security
Ten prioritised website fixes with the reason, effort and a clear done-when test for each
Fix plan, in priority order

What it found: 3 findings, with the numbers

  • The "free AI readiness assessment" button on 19 pages leads to a server that didn't respond in two tests, so visitors who want the assessment currently hit a dead end.
  • On a simulated phone the home page scores 61 of 100 for speed, because advertising and analytics tags keep it busy for about a second, and the contact page jumps while loading.
  • Security basics are mostly in place, but email spoofing isn't blocked, no rule limits which scripts may run, and 29 broken internal links, mostly missing blog images, affect 24 pages.

Every page in the public sitemap and every link and image on it were requested once on 29 Sep 2026. Speed came from Lighthouse 12.8.2 lab tests on a simulated phone (the home page 3 times, other pages once), and mobile layout from a headless browser at 390 px. Security covered headers, encryption, the certificate and public email DNS records. Not checked: real-visitor speed data (the public service had reached its daily limit), pages behind a login, and form submissions. This isn't a penetration test. Run date: .

Frequently asked questions about the Webmaster

What is AI website maintenance?

AI website maintenance means an AI agent looks after your existing site day to day. The Webmaster in Ai1 by MyZone AI watches for security issues, outdated components and broken links, routes each job to the right specialist, and gets your approval before any change reaches the live site.

Describe what you want in plain language; you do not need to know who does what. New builds and full redesigns are handled by the Website Builder.

What should a website care plan include?

With the Webmaster it covers regular check-ups for security, freshness, search and speed, previews of every proposed change with the checks attached, proposed improvements to clarity and enquiries, and a change log recording who, what, when and how to undo.

At setup you name who may approve changes, and a change goes live only after their go-ahead. You can choose a few low-risk tasks it may handle without asking each time.

What happens when a security issue turns up on my website?

The Webmaster triages it, arranges the fix, checks it and publishes with your go-ahead. The change goes live with a tested way to undo it, is checked afterwards and is added to your change log.

If anything looks wrong after a change goes live, it can be rolled back.
