Rewards Points Manager: Get More From Your Business Cards and Points

Know which cards earn their fee and when points beat cash for a trip.

Rewards Points Manager is the business credit card points strategy agent in the Ai1 platform by MyZone AI: it reviews the cards your business holds, sets the cash price of a trip beside each points option and lists the perks you pay for but never use, while you book and move points yourself.

We'll walk through what Rewards Points Manager will do for your team. Your Ai1 team will tell you when Rewards Points Manager is ready for your account.

Plans & pricing

  • Cards that earn their fee

Each card gets a keep, add, switch, downgrade or cancel call, with its yearly value set against its annual fee.

  • Points spent where they go furthest

Before a trip you see the cash price next to each points option, so points go where they are worth the most.

  • Perks you already pay for, used

Lounge visits, travel credits and card offers are listed with their reset dates before they lapse.

  • Every estimate shows its working

Values come with the spending, trips and point values they assume written out, so you can check them and decide.

What Rewards Points Manager does for you

  • Learns how your business spends and travels

Home country and currency, monthly spend by category, usual routes and airlines, the cards you hold and your point balances, kept as a short summary.

  • Reviews every card you hold

A keep, add, switch, downgrade or cancel call for each card, with the yearly value estimate, the annual fee and the assumptions behind it.

  • Plans the points for a trip

Compares the cash price you give it with points options in each program, and says whether moving points to an airline or hotel program first makes sense, and when.

  • Finds perks going unused

Lounge access, travel credits, presale and entertainment access and card offers, each with its expiry or reset date.

  • Knows the programs it covers

American Express Membership Rewards in Canada and the US, Chase Ultimate Rewards in the US and RBC Avion in Canada, plus the airline and hotel programs their points move to.

  • Dates every program fact

Program facts carry the date they were last checked, and every answer reminds you that the issuer's current terms win.

How Rewards Points Manager differs from Travel Planner

Travel Planner plans the trip and finds the bookings. Rewards Points Manager answers a different question: how to pay for it. It sets the cash price beside each points option, says whether moving points to an airline or hotel program first makes sense, and reviews which cards earn their fee. It is advice only, so it never books travel, moves points or logs in to an account, and every value is an estimate with its assumptions shown.

How this differs from the Travel Planner: To plan the trip itself, use Travel Planner; Rewards Points Manager works out whether to pay with points or cash and never books travel or moves points.

Example: card review and trip points plan

Example with a fictional company. Names, people and figures are invented to show the agent's output. Any resemblance to a real company or person is unintended.

What it was asked: Look at our four cards and our points, tell us which cards to keep or drop, how to pay for my crew chief's and my flights to the northern site on 16 Nov, and which perks we are wasting.

Example report
Four summary tiles for monthly spend, flights per year, cards held and points on hand, beside a spend by category table with share bars, the travel pattern and goals, and a table of cards with dated point balances.
Your rewards profile: spend, travel, cards and points
A card review table with a recommendation, annual fee, yearly value estimate and net estimate for each card, followed by cards for assumptions, what would change the answer and the steps the owner takes, and a row of five caution lines.
Card review: keep three, downgrade one, add none
A table comparing paying cash with three points options for two return seats, the recommended airline points option highlighted, beside five numbered steps the owner takes, tiles for cash kept and points to move, and a note on when to move points.
Trip points plan: owner and crew chief to the northern site, Mon 16 to Fri 20 Nov
A table of five unused card perks with use so far, reset dates, the action to take and a priority label, followed by three cards for quick wins, what the agent never does and who decides.
Perks you already pay for but are not using

What it found: 3 findings, with the numbers

  • The four cards cost $969 a year in fees as entered and return an estimated $2,375; keep three, downgrade one that costs $35 more than it returns, and add none.
  • For two return seats with a $2,568 cash price, 70,000 Aeroplan points plus $214 in fees get about 3.4 cents a point, against 1.0 cent assumed for fixed-value options.
  • Five unused perks were found; the $200 travel credit on the premium card is untouched and resets on 1 Feb 2027, so it is the first to use.

This is an illustrative example of the card review, trip points plan and perk check Rewards Points Manager is being built to produce from a business's own summary of its spend, cards and balances. It was written by hand from the agent's design for an invented surveying firm, with invented spend, fees, balances and prices. No real systems, accounts or people were involved, and nothing was sent, posted, paid or changed. Run date: .

It asks before it acts

Every Ai1 agent works under human approval. Here is how Rewards Points Manager keeps you in control.

  • Your Ai1 team will tell you when Rewards Points Manager is ready for your account.
  • Advice only: it never applies for or cancels a card, moves or redeems points, books travel or logs in to any card or loyalty account.
  • Values and savings are estimates with their assumptions shown, never promised amounts. The issuer's current terms always win. General rewards guidance, not financial, legal or tax advice. A person makes every decision, and your accountant handles tax.
  • It never needs card numbers, security codes or passwords. If one is pasted, it is not repeated or kept.
  • It never suggests carrying a balance, because interest wipes out what points earn.

Frequently asked questions about Rewards Points Manager

Should a business pay for travel with points or cash?

It depends on what each point is worth for that trip. Compare the cash price with the points needed, and remember the same points could pay for a later trip. Rewards Points Manager sets the cash price next to each points option and shows its working, and you decide and book. Card issuers' current terms always win.

How can you tell if a business card's annual fee is worth paying?

Add up what the card earns at your real spending, plus the perks you actually use, and set that against the fee. If the value comes out lower, a downgrade may keep the points without the fee. Rewards Points Manager shows that working for each card as an estimate, and a person makes the call.

Which business card perks tend to go unused?

Lounge visits, travel credits and card offers are easy to forget because nobody tracks when they reset. Listing each perk with its expiry or reset date makes it simple to use them before they lapse. Rewards Points Manager builds that list from the cards your business already holds.

What goes into a business credit card points strategy?

Holding the right cards for how you spend, using points where they go furthest and using perks before they lapse. It covers American Express Membership Rewards (Canada, US), Chase Ultimate Rewards (US) and RBC Avion (Canada), plus programs such as Aeroplan. American Express, Membership Rewards, Chase, Ultimate Rewards, RBC, Avion and Aeroplan are trademarks of their owners; named only to describe the work, no partnership implied.

Will it move our points or book flights for us?

No. It tells you what to do and lists the steps, and you or your travel booker do them. It never logs in to a card or loyalty account and never handles passwords.

How sure are the savings figures?

They are estimates. Each one shows the spending, trips and value per point it assumes, so you can change an assumption and see the effect. Card issuers change their terms, and their current terms always win.

Does it cover hotels as well as flights?

Flights come first, then hotels and the rest of travel. Perks such as lounge visits and travel credits are covered from the start.

Is Rewards Points Manager available now?
