AEO Agent
Agent. Runs the check every week and writes the monthly trend report.
The AI answer visibility check is a skill in Ai1, the AI agent platform by MyZone AI. The AEO Agent puts about ten buyer questions you approve to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini, records who is named and linked, scores your visibility and shows the sites behind the answers. It works with each service you connect; their usage costs apply.
Named or not, engine by engine
You see which engines name your business and which name a competitor instead.
The sources behind the answers
Review sites, forums and news stories that shape the answers are listed with how often each is linked.
A score you can track
One visibility score combines citation rate, share of voice and engine coverage.
At a glance
| Engines | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini (each service you connect; their usage costs apply) |
|---|---|
| Questions | About ten buyer questions, mostly without your name, that you approve |
| Records | Who is named, who is linked and in what order |
| Scores | Citation rate, share of voice and engine coverage in one score |
| Run by | The AEO Agent |
| Never | Edits your website or publishes content |
A buyer who asks an AI engine which business to choose can read the answer without clicking a link. Being named in that answer is not the same as ranking on a search page, and being named is not the same as being linked. Asking the questions buyers ask, engine by engine, shows where you stand and which sources the engines trust.
How this differs from the AEO Agent as a whole: the agent also agrees the questions with you, repeats the check every week and writes a monthly trend report with fixes; this skill is the check behind each reading.
How it works
Four steps. It reads public AI answers only and changes nothing on your site.

About ten questions a buyer would ask about your category, written with your main competitors in mind.
Every question goes to each AI engine you connect, and each full answer is kept.
It records who is named and linked, works out share of voice and traces the sites the answers draw on.
You review and confirm the question set. If you change it later, the score is reset so trends stay comparable.
Example visibility check
To show what you get, MyZone ran the AEO Agent on a well-known consumer brand, using public information only. The brand had no part in it.
What it was asked: How often do ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity name YETI, and how does it compare with Stanley, RTIC, Hydro Flask, Igloo and Coleman?
| Named | 33 of 36 answers across ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity named YETI, and 25 of them named it first. |
|---|---|
| Linked | 10 links in 4 of 12 answers from Perplexity went to yeti.com. ChatGPT and Claude answered without links, and review sites were linked most often. |
| Share of voice | YETI 37%, RTIC 24%. When asked whether YETI is worth the price, the engines pointed to the price and to cheaper options such as RTIC. |
Built-in guardrails
How the AI answer visibility check keeps the reading fair.
Better together
The agent that runs this check, and the agents, skills and recipes it works with.
Agent. Runs the check every week and writes the monthly trend report.
Agent. Does the search work, such as site audits, that AI visibility rests on.
Skill. Scores a published page for search and answer-engine formatting.
Recipe. Turns a missing answer into a page that helps.
Common questions
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini. It works with each service you connect, and their usage costs apply.
Mostly, yes. Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) are two names for the same goal: being named and cited in AI answers. This check measures that goal directly, engine by engine.
Because buyers who do not know you yet ask about the category, not your brand. A business can be named often when asked about by name and rarely when buyers ask for help in general, so the two are scored separately.
Tell us your category and main competitors and we will show you a visibility check.
