Why metadata only?

Does it read our messages?
No. It counts activity and its timing. It never reads message content, subjects or attachments, and never guesses mood.
Can a manager see one person's data?
No. Managers see team totals. Only HR can open an individual record, with a stated reason that is logged, and the person can see it is open to HR.
What about small teams?
Any group smaller than five people is hidden, so nobody can be picked out.
Can someone opt out?
Yes. Withdrawing consent stops collection and removes that person from every total.
