# Platform Architect (Claude): Architecture Advice on a Second Model

> The Platform Architect (Claude) is a twin that gives AI architecture advice in the Ai1 platform by MyZone AI: it answers the same design questions as the Platform Architect on a different AI model, so both views can be compared side by side, while the Platform Architect keeps the binding reviews.

A second architecture view from another AI model, set side by side.

## At a glance

- **You bring it:** An architecture question or a review request
- **Each answer:** A decision with its reasons on structure, API shape, front end, how parts talk and security
- **Side by side:** Set against the Platform Architect's answer to the same question
- **Alignment checks:** Gaps against the shared standards, filed as follow up items
- **Who checks it:** An agent on the other model family reviews its work
- **What it never does:** Write production code, host code or deploy

## What the Platform Architect (Claude) does

- **Gives architecture decisions with reasons:** It decides on structure, API shape, front end conventions, how components talk to each other and security posture, and explains why.
- **Answers from the Claude side:** It takes the same questions as the Platform Architect and answers them on a different AI model, so the two can be compared.
- **Reviews on request:** It carries out architecture and scope reviews when asked. The binding sign off before a build stays with the Platform Architect.
- **Checks components line up:** It audits whether modules still follow the shared standards and files each gap as a concrete follow up item.
- **Routes the building work:** It decides, then sends building to the developer agents and shipping to the release agent, and stays accountable for the outcome.

## How the Platform Architect (Claude) differs from a single AI advisor

One AI advisor gives you one view, and its blind spots stay hidden. The Platform Architect (Claude) shares the Platform Architect's knowledge and rules but runs on a different AI model, so both answer the same question and the answers are compared side by side. It pushes back hardest on security, data and structure choices that are expensive to reverse. The Platform Architect keeps the binding reviews.

How this differs from the Platform Architect (https://myzone.ai/pages/agents/ai-software-architect-agent): the Platform Architect is the original on the other AI model and keeps the binding reviews, while this twin answers the same questions for comparison.

## How it works

1. **Question** (Whenever a design question comes up): An architecture question or a review request comes in.
2. **Decide** (Before anyone builds): It weighs the options and gives a decision with its reasons.
3. **Route** (Once the decision is made): Building goes to the developer agents and shipping goes to the release agent.
4. **Compare** (Every time it answers): Its answers are set side by side with the Platform Architect's.

## When to use it

- **A new feature needs its own API or an extension of the current one:** It gives a clear recommendation with reasons, ready to compare with the Platform Architect's answer.
- **You want to know if modules still follow the shared standards:** It runs an alignment check and files every gap it finds as a follow up item.
- **A design choice would be hard to undo:** It looks hardest at the security, data and structure risks before anyone builds.
- **You want a second opinion on software design from another model:** It answers the same question from the Claude side, so you can compare AI models side by side on one decision.

## What you get

- Architecture decisions with the reasons behind them
- Architecture and scope reviews on request
- Alignment audit results filed as follow up items
- Answers set out for side by side comparison with the Platform Architect

## Example: architecture decision

Example with a fictional company. Names, people and figures are invented to show the agent's output. Any resemblance to a real company or person is unintended. Industry facts are real and cited with their sources.

What it was asked: Should our new operator reports get their own API, or should we extend the API our platform already uses?

I wrote this architecture decision record from the invented brief and figures shown in the sample, compared three options on six criteria and filed six follow-up items, each with an owner and a check. No client system, code or database was connected, queried or tested, no work was sent to a builder, and the side-by-side comparison with the Platform Architect and the independent review by an agent on a different AI model were not run for this sample. The two industry facts were checked on their source pages on 1 Oct 2026. Run date: 1 October 2026.

### What it found

- Extend the existing API with a separate reports module rather than building a second API, so one set of access rules decides who sees each site's money and tenant data.
- Run reports against a read-only copy of the database, with time limits and paged results, so a heavy 24-month report cannot slow bookings or the monthly billing run.
- Settle the meaning of each report figure before launch, such as what counts as overdue; renaming fields after operators build spreadsheets on the exports is the costly part to undo.

## Guardrails

- Binding architecture reviews stay with the Platform Architect.
- It decides and hands building to other agents; it never writes production code, hosts code or deploys.
- Its work is checked independently by an agent on the other model family.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is a second opinion on software design from another AI model worth having?

For decisions that are expensive to reverse, yes. Two AI models looking at the same architecture question give a weak spot one misses a better chance of being caught. In Ai1 by MyZone AI, the Platform Architect (Claude) answers the same questions as the Platform Architect on a different model, so both views can be compared. It is a second view, not a replacement. It has the same knowledge and rules on a different AI model, and the Platform Architect keeps the binding reviews.

### How can you compare AI models side by side on one design decision?

Ask both the same question and set their answers next to each other. Each answer from the Platform Architect (Claude) is a decision with its reasons, ready to weigh against the Platform Architect's view. Its own answers are checked too: an agent on the other model family gives an independent review, so a different model checks its work.

### What does software system design cover for a growing product?

The overall structure, the shape of the API, front end conventions, how components talk to each other and security posture. The Platform Architect (Claude) decides on these with reasons, so each answer is a decision you can act on. It then sends building to the developer agents and shipping to the release agent. It never writes production code itself: code is written by the Developer, and code hosting and releases are handled by the DevOps Agent.

### Can my business use the Claude architect?

Yes. It answers the same architecture questions as the Platform Architect on a second AI model, so both views can be compared side by side. Binding reviews stay with the Platform Architect, and the Claude twin gives you a second view before a design decision is made.

## About Ai1

Ai1 is the AI operations platform by MyZone AI, where each client runs on its own private server. The Platform Architect (Claude) is included on every Ai1 level, including Developer Core, with no per-agent charge. It works alongside the other Ai1 agents on your account.
